Well this last week has been extremely hectic and exciting.
My wife has had a week off from work and so things have needed to be done and places and people visited. I have been doing overtime but I managed to be at home when another of those amazing moments happens.
My daughter has started walking at the age of 10 months and 3 weeks. She walked a couple of steps last Thursday (May 1st) and then took a long walk of approx 15 steps on Friday (May 2nd).
It appears this may have shocked her as she has only walked 3 or 4 steps at time since.
What a moment though. To see your child walk for the first time is truly amazing.
The feeling you get when your child walks for the first time is one of unbelieveable pride. Your child is walking and growing up so fast. It is also a little scary as you know that very soon this little bundle of joy is going to be tearing around your home at break neck speed. They'll be getting into cupboards and drawers, emptying the contents all over the floor.

- I'm an avid reader and have been since I was 16, when I thought there must be more to life than TV, homework and computer games (I still play computer games and watch too much TV). The first book I read was the Hobbit by JRR Tolkien. I read this as it came with The Hobbit computer game for the Commodore 64 (that shows how old I am). I followed this up with the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I prefer Sci Fi and Fantasy novels. More on the fantasy side. However I'm branching out into Adventure thrillers thanks to Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code.
